Port of Trieste

Ferries and Ferry Companies Operating
(Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy)

Italian Ustica Lines and Greek Anek Lines are the two main ferry operators offering services between the port of Trieste and the ports of Pula in Croatia and Igoumenitsa in Greece. The routes both companies offer change regularly throughout the seasons.

Both of the companies' vessels have amenities for passengers with disabilities, though passengers should notify staff of their special needs when making their reservations. Assistance with boarding the vessels can be arranged as well.

Anek Lines Ferry Company

For over 39 years the Greek ferry company Anek Lines has been crossing both the Adriatic and Aegean Sea. ANEK was originally created with the help of Cretan shareholders. The Cretan people were looking for a means of transport which was their own and linked them with other parts of Greece. Nowadays the company operates a fleet of 10 modern and fully equipped passengers and cargo vessels. Most of the ferries provide a wide range of facilities including a casino, slot machines, video games room, medical facility, restaurant, bistro, duty-free shop, air conditioned cabins, a disco and cabins for passengers with special needs.
